I honestly don't believe anyone should write/draw porn of underage characters for any reasons (yes even ~trauma coping~) and if I had the power I would take it all away and burn it and make it 100% illegal to own or create ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What about teens drawing and writing about themselves or other teens having sex, though?

Also, although I was never into teens even when I was a teen, instead of having 18 be the age of consent that’s most commonly seen as evil to go under, I think it should be 16 across the board. But then, I also think 16 year olds should be able to vote and maybe even drink so long as it’s not hard liquor, but I’m thinking more in the “glass of wine with dinner/one beer at a party” sense.

And I personally hate alcohol, am a virgin old enough to have teen children, and would never sleep with a teen because from where I’m standing they’re, well, babies, and anyone out of their teens who still wants to sleep with one is at the very least a creep, if not a predator.

I dunno, I think giving older teens more of the, I guess “perks” of adulthood would maybe lessen the pressure on them to act and dress older so young.

But I’d also like to see a cultural shift to adults (and not just concerned parents or relatives or whatever) telling other adults who are sexually interested in teens* that it’s not normal or hot, it’s disgusting. I’d much rather stuff like countdown clocks for celebrity kids and glamour shots of teens at award shows stop being a thing before written or drawn porn of teens gets banned, because I remember being a teen and fantasizing about relationships with older guys was definitely something I did. But countdown clocks and sexy photos of teens are catering entirely to adults who think RL teens are sexy in a way written and drawn porn aren’t necessarily.

*written and drawn porn of pre-pubescent kids is a whole other thing that I don’t think should be posted online, but I guess if someone’s actually working through traumatic shit, and they don’t share it anywhere, it’s not a huge deal, even if it personally creeps me the hell out.

Great idea! That way, law enforcement can stop taking care of actual kids and busting real pedophiles and all that shit and make sure you don't stumble over a fanfic or drawing that makes you think about anything unpleasant.

Also, this will keep hentai out of the hands of real kid fuckers, because as we all know, they care so much about the law here they don't even own the real stuff. But hey. At least with every law enforcement agency on the planet baby sitting you and keeping you safe and making sure you don't stumble over a fic where two teenagers get it on, you'll be able to tell who's actually a pedo and who's not, and this will go a long way to make you feel safe and secure, and that's what really matters.

I'm sure the children who's mothers knowingly sell them into sexual slavery will thank you for you wokeness, and I'm sure every law enforcement agency will be glad that they FINALLY get to stop all the pointless bullshit they've been and do something that will really make a difference.

I'm guessing you don't actually remember what being a teenager was like do you? And for that matter, what ages are you basing this 'underage' line to fall under? 'Cause it differs more than a little depending where you're from.

I definitely understand feeling this way about extremely underage fiction/art. I don't know whether I think it should be illegal or not, but it doesn't strike me as an unreasonable stance. And, in fact, fictional depictions of child pornography are, by law, illegal in Canada, Australia, and the UK, as well as 90+ other countries.

OTOH, The idea of lumping depictions of older teens in with children when it comes to underage fiction/art does seem kind of unreasonable to me, and impractical, give how much the legal age of consent varies from country to country.

Honestly not sure? I mean, in real life I guess I'm pretty woke. I'm very aware of and care intensely about justice issues. But I'm also of the view that fiction is fiction, and as long as they don't spill over into real life, what one individual person reads or writes doesn't matter to me. We can talk about trends like how women are portrayed in media generally. But I'm not going to criticize what one individual person likes unless it is reaching into real life and causing something I think is bad in real life.

I'm as woke as I want to be, I guess? I agree there's a lot of problems and that people should be aware and accommodating but I also think there's a lot of a culture of victimhood going on right now and I just have ZERO patience for it.

I'm equal opportunity in that I believe all humans can be shitty. I don’t like people much, regardless of what skin colour they have or sexuality.

Not very. I definitely default to "humans are white", because everyone I knew and loved growing up where white and my entire family (besides one adopted niece) and all of my friends are white. So when I think of "a man" or "a child" or "a woman", I picture a white person. I'm actively trying to re-train my brain to think of people of color, watch videos with people of color etc, so... 4/10?
