I mean any relationship can have a power imbalance but I think the power imbalance is much starker and more intrinsic with a father/child relationship

Yeah. A relationship between a person who's a politician and a person who's not has a power imbalance, but we don't fret over this fact very much.

Children generally aren't disciplined for disobeying their siblings in the same way they are for disobeying their parents, so it doesn't feel as fundamentally fucked up (even though it absolutely can be, and it's generally not healthy regardless).

Agreed, any relationship can have a power imbalance. This one is wheeled out as an "incest is always abusive and it's incest if I say it is" gotcha.
parent/child and underage student/teacher is a power imbalance for obvious reasons.

This. Of course any relationship can have a power imbalance, but to me, siblings with no (or little) age difference, no differences in how they were raised, etc, bothers me not at all, while parent/child or even older relative/child is an instant no for me.
