When I say controlling, I really mean controlling. She still has their shared facebook account password and I was never allowed to have his mobile number because I'm a "temptation to sin".

...Um. Please say that the last part is because you, I dunno, have a tendency to covet your neighbor’s belongings or run a speakeasy or are really into pop idols and that’s just too close to idolatry for her... because the only other implication that comes to mind is just very sad that her mind runs that way.

Nah. It's pretty much what you're thinking. She started policing our interactions when I was 12. I was screamed at for wearing shorts in their house because my legs were on display, she threw my lip gloss and clothes in the bin, etc.

But... once they divorce, she has no say in anything he does or who he talks to? And she shouldn't have any say in anything you do or who you talk to, unless... Do you live in her house? Is she your guardian? Or is it a case of "this bitch crazy and can't be trusted with any piece of information or she will foam at the mouth" and it's just easier not to deal with the drama?

I mean, I don't understand why keeping in touch with him is not an option, because it absolutely is unless, say, your life will be put in danger for doing so.
