I don't think Heero/Duo is any more canon then Heero/Relena, but then there are only two like actually canon ships and neither of them really involve any of the pilots.

I didn't necessarily mean Heero/Duo is canon (that's a whole other story I haven't argued for 6 years), but more that the amount of official art of Heero and Duo to suggest Heero/Duo is so much that it's unsurprising to see it here.

All of the official art is crack at its finest including that picture up there (which yes is official), but then official anime art usually is.

Anime and manga often has "official" art that's completely crack-tastic. Unless it's actually from the anime or manga, take any image with a truckload of salt.

Amen- all the romance was outside of the main 5. And I always thought 1x3 made heaps more sense than 1x2 did, which is why fandom and I were kind of like nom nom nom with each other. :) And I liked Heero/Relena, and loved Relena in general, and most shippers hated her simply because she was "in the way".

The only ships that I think of as canon are Treize/Une and Zechs/Noin, everything else is either very subtextual or crack. I am more into 1x4 on the slash side myself, but it all works for me.

Those are the only ships I would consider canon from that series.

Lol, I was just gonna say that 1x2 is only even REMOTELY canon if you consider the 'official art' the defining canon. Not that '1xR' had anything resembling a definitive outcome, but 1x2? Bullshit.
