I dunno, I don't feel like he was taking her seriously out of respect. More like he wants to kick everyone's ass. Even if it were someone weaker than him. He strikes me as that kind of jerk.

I mean, fair, I didn't say anything about respect. But she WASN'T weaker than him, that was the point. Everyone else thought he was being way too violent in that fight but they missed the fact that she came very close to kickig HIS are and he knew it.
