Never noticed that Grover, Big Bird, Oscar or the Count were particularly relatable.
anarchicq: (SkekNa the SlaveMaster from Dark Crystal)

Oh, don't be so purposefully obtuse.

*Favourite Jim Henson creation is SkekNa and Pilot. Secretly relates to Gonzo the most*

I have zero recollection of any characters that could be considered "relatable." I'm looking at the list of Muppets on Wikipedia and I don't remember any of them except the famous ones.

I dunno, I kinda related to Oscar the Grouch. Not 'cause I lived in a trash can or anything, but because he collected weird things and wanted people to leave him alone. Hell, I still kinda relate to him.

There were definitely designed to be, though. I mean, the show is famous for the episode where Big Bird (who is quite child like) learns about death when actor who played Mr. Hooper passed away.

Cookie Monster was totally relatable.

If you never pretended you were Cookie Monster when you ate, I think you missed out om something.

But also The Count for me because I like numbers.

Ernie was definitely relatable to me and Bert reminded me of my older sister.

But that was for me, I could definitely see how Grover, Big Bird, or Oscar could be relatable to other kids
