I thought the same thing. But then I thought the same thing during the series. In this in particular based on the clear traumatised way Jessie was reacting to him. Plus Todd is so creepy.
Hell, I'm still convinced Todd did something terrible to him (beyond the terrible things that had already been done to him) as in sexually abused him in some way we just didn't see it.

There is apparently a lot of us whose mind went there. Read a reddit post the other day about that and most people seemed to agree that they were expecting it to get rapey at any point.

OTOH I was definitely thinking about it too, but on the other I also thought "nooo Vince Gilligan is too good a storyteller to fall into the trap of rape as cheap trauma".
