127. I hate when people ship these two. :\ It's taking a very, huh, disturbing relationship that is so amusing to watch it and actually diminishing the actual thing to another YOAI?!?! romance. I mean, yeah, whatever, ship whatever you want, but it kind of annoys me people shipping 'em. Not that I care much about shipping or, you know, what have you, but it saddens me to see their relationship turn into something that it shouldn't be?

127. I think the point of the secret was less that the OP ships them and more that if one of them were a woman, more people would acknowledge the significance of their relationship to the appeal of the series.

And I personally think that if one of them were a woman, there'd have been canon support for House/Wilson seasons ago. They've already dropped plenty of House/Cuddy hints (especially considering the preview for next week's episode), and those two don't have nearly the amount of chemistry House and Wilson do.

Besides, only an idiot would think that if House and Wilson hooked up, that it'd be anything like a typical romance. It'd be so dysfunctional, so screwed up and yet so perfect and so good to watch.

I think most people do acknowledge the importance of their relationship to the series, it's just that they see it as a friendship.

It's a blessing to me that Fox won't go there, because I don't ship them and I think their relationship is perfect (for the show) the way it is. I wish there was something stopping the House/Cuddy thing, because I saw that as purely friendship too.

*rapid blinking*

I admittedly haven't been around House fandom this season, but I don't recall House/Wilson being made into a yaoi-ish romance. Certainly not by the better authors, anyway. (I won't say anything for the badfic.)

Also, why on earth would any given romance between two characters "sadden" you? (And how is it "diminishing"? Is it still diminishing if it maintains the complexity of their friendship?)

If I see characters who I think shouldn't be together (due to incompatibility, mostly) being shipped or even made canon, it annoys me, but it sure doesn't "sadden" me. So I find your statement strange. Why would you feel sad?
