not!fandom: Methinks furry does not mean what you think it means. It =/= bestiality, for one.

I doubt it has anything to do with the woman's faith but more with the public's belief that Muslims are terrorist, backwards, barbaric, etc. It's nice to have positive role models to look to when the images of your religion in Western media are overwhelmingly negative. (That said, I'm baffled by the inclusion of Mike Tyson.)

Exactly. I'm Muslim myself, and love my religion, my beliefs and my faith, but with all the negative portrayals of Muslims nowadays, it's easier to have all these positive people as proof that Islam does not churn out terrorists and human time bombs all the time.
