You know what's kind of weird is I always read that line as Lisbeth asking his permission bc Mikael was the one tortured so it was his right to kill Martin. They were both on a vendetta to avenge the women, but Mikael had the personal right. If that makes sense.

They're practicing consent, which is not the same as asking a man for permission to do something he shouldn't get a say in. I mean, she's being protective there, but not in a way that ignores his agency which is quite feminist.
