But it isn't really a good film, per se? It's weirdly choppy in places, the pacing is off, it really shows that they've redone it a couple of times, and it's mostly saved by its excellent ending...? I mean, I agree with you on teh content, but it's not terribly good filmmaking, and that's why I don't really like rewatching it. I get bored.

Some people watch movies only for the content, not the filmmaking technique. Both are completely valid.
