It's ok for twinks to be dominant tops too... changing physical characteristics is one thing, but some of this secret comes off kinda cringe in its implications

OP

Don't misunderstand me, I get that too, I'm saying that these people literally don't allow for the concept of him bottoming. (I think he's a switch, personally.) Because BOTTOMING is BAD because it's FEMINIZING or something. Idk. I just hate the performative nature of it.

The top/bottom thing is just seme/uke all over again and I hate it.

looking at this image i don't see how he's a twink at all? he's still buff just not beefcake buff.

The ideal twink is buff but not beefcake, and often white, and with a look that far too often involves drug abuse and eating disorders. But I guess since shipping is SuBvErTing HeTeroSeXuAliTy it's all good in the end.

Yeah, I hate the overcompensation fandom does to some characters. It's one thing to emphasize a certain character trait, but they kinda have to have that trait in the first place.

I don't see a *huge* amount of this, but the small amount I see does kinda annoy me. Personally, I do love the idea of Prompto as being capable when he has to be, and he's definitely brave and strong, but he's also massively insecure and afraid of rejection, and those weaknesses are SUCH a big part of his charm and appeal.

Also tho... twinks can definitely be doms/tops, too. Top!Prompto is my jam >:3

Yeah, not surprising. It's now considered "woke" if the more feminine one is a very dom top, without any regard for characterization and if you think they're a bottom you're enforcing heteronormative behaviours. Happening in my current fandom too. In my case, at least the Japanese are providing me my fill.
