I never liked Seven and I'm not thrilled she's gonna be in this.

I completely understand. I'm really looking forward to seeing Seven again, but I will roll my eyes right out of my head if she's still with Chakotay.

I’d like to think I’d be okay with it if they developed more enough to the relationship to make me care, but given it’s probably unlikely, I kinda hope they pull a retcon.

Anyway, I still can’t get over how much I like her look in this picture.

Gods, saaaaaame. I mean, I guess I'm not too worried, as I doubt Beltran will ever want anything to do with Star Trek ever again, but there is still that little bit of anxiety there. For me, best case scenario is that Seven quickly came to her senses and dumped him, and then he either got killed by alien lumberjacks who mistook him for an ambulatory tree or he crashed yet another shuttle (that being his favorite hobby) and died in the explosion. I'd also love it if Seven ended up marrying Janeway, but I know better than to think that has any chance of happening in canon. Honestly, I'll just be glad if she isn't with Chakotay.

I love Seven, and Jeri Ryan is awesome. I'm 100% excited that she is in Picard and cannot wait to see how Seven has grown as a character. (And I hope it's not just a bit part in the first ep. I want MORE of her story!)

But Chakotay. Sigh. There are many Voyager characters I would love to see make an appearance/get mentioned on Picard. Chakotay is not one of them. I will be forced to sigh dramatically if she is still with him.

I mean, I doubt they'd bring in Seven's love life into this, not in the beginning.

I kind of am not loving that the most I hear about her appearance in Picard is 'CHAKOTAY?' If this continues, I'd want him out of spite.
