Them maybe don’t make secrets saying redheads don’t deserve representation

(Anonymous) 2019-11-02 04:55 pm (UTC)(link)
WHY are you unhappy about redheads being replaced? Give me your non-racist reasons.

(Anonymous) 2019-11-02 05:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Because I don’t like how people act like “it’s okay to replace them because there they’re a small group” and if a redhead complains about losing representation they’re called a racist, like what happened with Ariel.

(Anonymous) 2019-11-02 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
We literally don't know yet if the live action Ariel will have red hair or not, just that she's black. She can still be a redhead, and even if she's not, the redheaded Ariel still EXISTS. Try again.

(Anonymous) 2019-11-02 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
So you’re just going to focus on the last half part.

(Anonymous) 2019-11-02 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Because it's not losing representation if she's still a redhead, right?

(Anonymous) 2019-11-02 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Most redheads have light skin, so no.

(Anonymous) 2019-11-02 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Most, but not all. Interesting that it's only redhead representation if the redhead is white. Almost like it's not about the easily changed and sadly temporary hair color after all...

(Anonymous) 2019-11-02 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I can't decide whether you're a troll or a moron.

(Anonymous) 2019-11-02 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
If you have pale skin and red hair, someone with dark skin isn’t the same.

(Anonymous) 2019-11-03 03:20 pm (UTC)(link)
We get it, it's the "she's not white" part you take issue with. Should've just said so.

(Anonymous) 2019-11-03 03:38 pm (UTC)(link)
If they made her a blonde or brunette I wouldn’t be happy either. :)

(Anonymous) 2019-11-02 06:46 pm (UTC)(link)
So you’re just going to focus on the last half part.

(Anonymous) 2019-11-03 03:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, it's either you're racist (and I'm still leaning HARD on that one) or you think having red hair is an identity on par with ethnicity, gender, and sexuality. Which is just sad, sad gatekeeping and goes back to the original point of the secret: redheads have more than enough toys. Learn to share, ffs.

(Anonymous) 2019-11-03 07:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Just because they don’t have it bad as others do doesn’t mean redheads don’t have a history of persecution.

And you say “more than enough toys” like redheaded characters aren’t repeatedly being replaced with black ones.
