I don't mind people using fandom as a distraction or even refuge as long as they don't try to browbeat people into doing fandom a certain way because they need the escape from life and everyone else has to conform and be part of that escape or else they are terrible people.

Thgen there's the people who think "self care" means "shut out the world and indulge in what feels good whenever and for however long I want." I worry about those people, but they are less in-your-face annoying.
