I think it's based on the idea that if you fantasize about a minor being of age, it means you were creeping on them before that. Which could be creepy in reality, but this is fiction. These people we're all writing about do.not.exist. And in this specific case, they're not even child *actors*, they're cartoons voiced by adults. The writers could wake up tomorrow and be like "let's make everyone 18".

If the show moved in real time, they'd all be in their thirties with kids now anyway.
