Winter is coming...
(Anonymous) 2019-11-03 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)How about you guys? Do you love fall/winter or hate it?
Re: Winter is coming...
(Anonymous) 2019-11-03 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)I do really like the holiday season (starting with Halloween!) but ouside of that I'm pretty neutral I guess?
Re: Winter is coming...
(Anonymous) 2019-11-03 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)If I have seasonal affective disorder it would definitely be in the spring/summer. Spring is so wet and dreary and smells like worms, and I'm constantly miserable in the summer since I can't stand being hot.

(Anonymous) 2019-11-03 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)A little bit of winter goes a long way but it's still better than the summer.
Re: Winter is coming...
(Anonymous) 2019-11-03 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)If I lived somewhere where Fall was dry and crisp, and where “cooler weather” meant, like, 15C/59F in late October, then that might be nice. But where I live, Fall is wet, and often dark with cloud cover, and more like 5C/41F by late October, which is just way too cold for my liking.
I also don’t mind dry, snowy winters, where the light bounces off the snow and makes even the dark feel bright. Give me -4C (just cold enough to be dry and for the snow to be fluffy). But wet, slushy winters are the worst, and where I live, wet, slushy winters are the ONLY type of winters.

(Anonymous) 2019-11-03 10:34 pm (UTC)(link)Plus, I'm an indoors-y sort in general. Fall and winter provide the perfect opportunity and reason to stay in.

(Anonymous) 2019-11-03 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)August is the absolute worst month of the year for me in terms of depression. The endless heat makes me feel lethargic and makes everything feel pointless and burdensome.
Re: Winter is coming...
(Anonymous) 2019-11-03 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)Winter though. Fuckin hate winter. Winter sucks. Winter is two inches of snow every other day requiring almost constant shoveling. Winter is sudden drops to -10 for week. Winter is disgusting and I wish I had the money to escape it but I never will.
