They're doing construction work on the exterior of my building, so I'm sitting inside contemplating how nice it would be if I could afford a hotel room until this is over.

I'm doing a Baby Foot peel* today! I like to do them in the fall and again in spring. When that's done it's mani-pedi time, yay! I've got work thru Monday so today is a me day off. :D

*Baby Foot is an exfoliant acid peel you can do at home, it's good for calluses and dry feet. It involves wearing plastic booties that contain fruit acids on your feet for a time, after first soaking your feet in warm water to soften them.

I have work through Monday too. That peel sounds nice - I might have to look it up. Though my feet are beyond help.

I actually have one of those on my bathroom shelf but am too scared to use it lol.

Why?

I'm cooking today. Three bean dishes, blueberry muffins, bread, and stuffing. At least that's what it's going to be if I finish it all.

Slept. Went out to the pharmacy to pick up my antibiotic. Ate some soup for lunch. Watched whose line. Played with my kitty. Listened to my favorite podfic. Went hunting for more podfic.

Got my new furnace! The job they were supposed to work today had a problem, so they called to see if we wanted to do ours today. Considering it is going to be 14 degrees on Monday, that would be a big YES.

The third season of The Handmaid's Tale had its problems and some of it was boring, but overall I really liked it. Especially the end where things got interesting. S!B almost nobody else seems to feel that way.

Shoot, wrong thread. That is not what I am doing today.

Procrastinating about washing and arguing feminism in a comments section (yeah yeah I know better). Turns out the guy I was antagonising was being sincere, oops :/

I have to hang around my apt for the next hour or so because there's some sort of bldg inspection going on and I do not like people I don't know going into my home when I'm not there. (They may not even pick my place.) Once that's over I'm going to bring a birthday cake I just baked over to my best friend and former roomie's new house because it's his birthday.

Had the day off work so just ran a couple errands, watched a couple shows, and spent some time online (there needs to be a word for "looked at random websites"). I'm about to go climb back under some blankets and watch some more TV because I'm freezing!

Purchased shoes and an outfit at Kohl's for a family occasion next week.

Watching the snow~! I love it!

I got home from work and found one of my hens gutted in the run. This is why I hate leaving the run gate shut; I have zero carpentry skills and the only reason the coop is secure is that it’s a prefab metal shed, but the run is badly roofed with bamboo and chicken wire, and can trap the hens if a predator gets in. When they had free run of my yard, the hens always got away.

It gets dark two hours before I get home on my early work days, plenty of time for a raccoon to break in. I’ve been seeing them around the last couple weeks. But my only bantam hen often roosts on a low chair back until I get home and put her with the rest, and she was there and fine when I got home. I don’t get how or why a predator would ignore the low-hanging fruit and go for a hen on a six foot roost when there was a hen three feet off the ground. She could’ve been caught before she roosted, but that would’ve been before dark, and the only predators that can kill and eat chickens here are nocturnal.

I work again until 6 tomorrow and won’t be home until 7 so I’m scared it’ll happen again.

After making some stickers from an existing comic to use in a messenger, I have decided to create a sticker set with my friend's OC for her birthday. But sticker chibis are haaaaard.
