101. Hon, I will say right now, you are not so slow that you can't get used to it. It's confusing for a little while until you do, but once you know what fandom you're in and know the characters in it, it's not too difficult to figure out that when the pairing says it's, say, "Zib," it means Zim and Dib.

102. Glad to see that someone ~oh so intelligent~ has decided to debunk them without knowing anything about what their instruments actually do! Yeah, it's a totally fake ghost hunting show where... 90% of the time they don't find shit. That's the smart option when you're faking everything.

152. Does it help that despite being sharp as tacks she is also horrifically blunt and unaware of quite a lot? XD I DO AGREE THOUGH. All of the characters are total cliches. That is the point, and it's why I love the series. They take complete and utter cliches and make them more than that, and that's just awesome. As a writer, it fascinates me, and I hope I can come up with characters as awesome as that someday.

I'm with you (though I couldn't be arsed to comment directly) -- they're quick to come up with non-supernatural explanations, they always tell the owners about these non-supernatural explanations, and many of their findings aren't exciting. You'd think if they were making shit up, they'd do something better than, "Hey, where'd my shoe go?" Also, when the owners have tampered or faked things (like in the Queen Mary episode), they catch it.

Oooh yeah. When half the time they go in and go "yeah, these feelings of foreboding and like you're being watched are because of your wiring and plumbing," I find it hard to believe that they're just faking everything. They try and come up with non-supernatural explanations, they try as much as they can to debunk the occurances -- I don't see the sense in disproving most of the stuff they're called in to examine if they're just faking it all. And like you said, even when they go "yeah, okay, there seems to be some sort of activity," they're very leery about saying it's an actual haunting.

Ooh yeah, the Queen Mary! That was epic. And did you see the one episode -- I forget where it was, I only caught part of it, but I think it was a hotel? And the owners or employees or whatever had set the place up with a ton of fake shit designed to trick them. They caught it all and they were so pissed, and I don't blame them. It was pretty amazing. |D

No, but I think was OP meant was that they don't act all super nice and kind all the time. And, looking for someone with a similar personality isn't superimposing imho.

No kidding. And it's funny how so many people get all up in arms when it's obviously for the lulz. xD
