106 I think this secret is funny because it seems to assume that the Gundam 00 fandom is entirely female or something. Cause, you know, straight guys don't watch Gundam.

I still think that people who won't watch any anime at all are lame and just depriving themselves of another medium to enjoy. I don't really like tv, but I do watch a few television shows from time to time.

You wanna know something funny?

My fiance watches Gundam, hell, he got me into into it. He is straight. He does not usually like yaoi, as that may imply.

HE ships Lockon/Tieria. And from what I can see, he's not the only straight guy who accepts it. It's weird, but true from what I've seen.

(still, females are the only ones I see actively "shipping" and writing fanfic, but...)

Yeah, I'm going by what I see on /m/. Usually there tends to be a lot of males whining about how "gay" the show's characters are (but they still watch it).

I've never watched it. Well, that's not true, I saw the first episode. I have a hard time getting myself to watch non-UC Gundam, though.

LOL, I'm actually going by /m/ too. You see stuff like "God damn those two are gay...are you sure Tieria's not a chick?" kind of thing. I've seriously never seen guys so willing to admit that the gayness is not in the fangirl's imagination. (Ha, actually, even *I'm* surprised I see that pairing, as I am normally not too into yaoi myself.)

Yeah, the first episode turned me off, it was only after watching the first 4 that I really got into it. That's actually recently turned me on to UC Gundam, which I can TOTALLY see how fans of that would have a tough time accepting the new universes. If I had seen UC first I probably would be thoroughly weirded out.
