(Anonymous) 2008-10-27 06:32 am (UTC)(link)The secret has nothing to do with the actors. I adore McKay. Hewlett is made of awesome. I like Jewel Staite, and have tried to like Keller. The problem lies with the characters being a) an admitted self-insert (Mallozzi & Gero w/ McKay) and b) a nice-girl-genius-cum-sudden-superwoman who replaces another character and everyone loves and accepts without a problem, who are then unceremoniously shoved together.
My problem is with the writers who are too lazy, juvenile, or just plain untalented to be able to pull this off with any sort of believability.
