I hate it when people chirp "Just write it yourself!" It's a brainless, knee-jerk response that's really unhelpful for most people's situations.

"Won't" makes it sound like they're purposefully refusing to provide themselves with reading material. For most people, that's just not a practical solution even if they wanted to. .
