Been there, done that for a previous fandom and I'll do it again. But what if in a newer fandom I want other people to write fics for tastes than different mine--for the sake of diversity?

Same. But the more parameters you want the harder it gets to match up. What's longfic anyway? 5k? 10k? 50k? Shorter reads can be just as satisfying and are easier to write, if OP wants novellas they might be being a bit unrealistic.
