It got me into F1! But unfortunately though I now know some interesting stuff about drivers besides Lauda and Hunt I’m still not into anything beyond the 70s/80s history.

Never really been what I'd describe as a fan of F1 but my husband is a life-long fan and rarely misses a race. He even gets up horrifically early for the Australian GP, which lucky us usually falls the day we put the clocks forward an hour!

Anyway, even as a non-fan I loved Rush. I fell down the rabbit-hole of looking up all the real history and ended up being really interested. I thought Daniel Brühl was excellent as Niki Lauda as well, really nailed his mannerisms but tbh Chris Hemsworth did well inhabiting James Hunt too.

I also really enjoyed the docu-film Senna. That one actually managed to make me cry at the end even though I didn't have the same emotional connection my husband had (he was a little boy when *that* race happened and was watching it on the day...)

As a person with a dog named after Ayrton Senna, I agree with this secret. Also it was a kickass movie.

Rush is seriously overrated. It's a fine movie, there isn't anything wrong with it, but the way people think that Hemsworth does an amazing acting job in it is way over the top. If anything, he did a better job in Ghostbusters. Really showed off his comedy chops. Also that people think this a great men's friendship movie, I don't know, I'm not seeing that. They had a friendly rivalry, not much of a friendship.

While I'm sick of movies about men, a movie about Tolkien and CS Lewis's friendship might be nice.
