Back when I first read it (during Bush II’s time in office) I would’ve loved to see a Transmetropolitan tv series. Now, I dunno, the villain feels too competent and the crimes he commits and covers up are awful, but not as bad as the kind of shit that’s happened since the chump took office. The world in the comics is still interesting in a “fun to read about, wouldn’t want to live there” way, but the current US administration is so terrible, the political plotting seems tame in comparison to real life.
