I've never left hate on a fic before. But sometimes, when someone else leaves a comment criticizing something that really bugs me about an author's writing, it feels gratifying. The person is being a douche by leaving uninvited criticism, and I would never chime in to agree with them, but knowing that they find [thing] about the author's writing annoying, too, satisfies me.

(This does not apply to extremely mean comments, just minorly-to-moderately critical ones.)


Inspired by the secret above - the person who flamed a fic and then felt bad about it.
