I've got a love-hate relationship with the original Charmed. I liked everyone to start out with, but by the last few seasons they'd all doubled down hard on their least endearing traits and were never allowed to learn anything from their mistakes because drama! Unfortunately, Cole and Phoebe suffered the worst from this. The first few seasons were pretty darned good though.

Wow, you really summed up my biggest complaint about the original! I thought I’d give it another go, recently, but I’m afraid it’s lost something in the rewatching. I didn’t make it as far in before quitting as I had on the original airings.

Yes, the later seasons really weren't great. I'd say 1-4 are the good ones. I usually stop rewatching after that.
