It scares me that they could almost do to cinema what they did to comic books.

Superheroes are a really problematic genre inasmuch as they treat "heroism" as something over-the-top & unattainable. They get in the way of more serious properties. And of course, they're "intellectual property."

God, yes. I like the occasional superhero movie, but there's superhero movie after superhero movie after superhero movie... and then there's the dark superhero movies, which are more depressing than anything.

It's having pop tarts for breakfast, snack, lunch, dinner, and the same for the next day.

I don't have a problem if they go for established properties as long as they are done well, but there are far more genres to make movies with. Superheroes have gotten stale for me.
