It's obviously not going to be over over but Disney has talked about it going on a 'hiatus' for a while after the next movie, for whatever you think that's worth.

Don't have an issue with that as long as you aren't telling other people what they should or shouldn't like. What I take issue with is people saying because I don't like this it shouldn't exist for anyone.

Reread the secret more carefully. OP didn't wish Star Wars would end. They merely said they'd be glad when it was over. You're taking someone to task for something you only imagined they said. Again. Really bad habit of yours.

I have only watched Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return Of the Jedi. THAT'S IT. THAT'S ALL I WILL EVER WATCH.

I have been a loyal Star Wars fan since childhood. Loved the original trilogy and so far, have loved the new trilogy. But I have to say, I wouldn't mind anything that would make the Star Wars fandom die down a little, because while I am a Star Wars fan, I've come to really hate the fandom; it's made up of the whiniest, most unpleasable assholes ever.

I still hate the prequels, but after maturing and just seeing what the Star Wars fandom is like, I'm actually forced to sympathize a little with George Lucas. The prequels still and always will suck, but no one can win with this fandom, so I sympathize when any of the professionals working in this franchise.

As far as I'm concerned, when George Lucas turned over the rights, as soon as he was given his check (which I picture as one of those giant ones), he hopped into his red corvette, said, "They're your problem now, suckers!" and sped off into the sunset, laughing maniacally. Because again, Star Wars fans suck.

I have a mental image of someone on a soapbox ranting this. I find the one whining about the whiners more tiring than the whiners themselves.

BTW, George Lucas is not at all happy with what Disney did to Star Wars. Guess that makes him one of the whiners.
