I think they're funny when it's obvious from the contestant's reaction that they just made a dumb mistake in the moment. But it makes me feel really bad when they legitimately don't know the answer and the host runs with it to make the audience laugh at their expense. Like the one where a woman was asked a question with the words "urban" and "rural" in it and she said she didn't know what those meant, and the host was like "Just go with what you think they mean, it's all good! :)" and asked follow-up questions deliberately leading her to the wrong understanding of the words. When the people are obviously undereducated like that, it's not funny, it's sad.
