Probably. I know I think a lot about the handfull of people I felt close to who, like me, faded from what was my main fandom. Good riddance to the majority of a starry-eyed, immature fandom, but the few people I clicked with I genuinely miss, and I regret that I'll never get to flail with them again.

Thanks anon. I'm just at a weird life stage where most of my friends (fandom and RL) have drifted away to do their own thing and I don't have the energy to start from scratch with new people right now.

Aw, now I’m sad. I think about my fandom friends every now and then too. I hope they’re all doing okay. I did try to communicate with one a few years back, but nothing much happened. I think we just drifted too far apart.
