That icon is hilarious.

it is one of my personal favourite icons that I have ever had. this is another, only because it is appropriate to use in many conversations I have.

That's also a good one. This one is my favorite because everything I say is retarded haha.

my current favourite icons are ones like this, taken from paintings by Sylvia Ji. Partly because I'm a fan, partly because my friend and I occasionally pretend to act like horny lesbians and they are good for that kind of comment :/

Hurray for horny lesbians! I currently only have crappy icons, though tomorrow I get paid, I think I'll get a paid account...

I can't imagine life without a paid account and the perks like editing comments, being able to get 100 icons and loyalty pics. the only time I haven't had one in the past 3 years is when I've taken time away from the internet.

My old one ran out in August, because I thought I was gonna be away from the internet shortly after that. Plans changed, haha. I've been searching for a job since then and I finally have one. :D I have about a million icons on my computer, so it's always hard to choose which 15 should go up. Hell, when I have 115, it's hard to choose.

115? Either you have a lot of loyalty pics (I only have 13 after all of my paid time) or you don't get how the 100 icon add-on works. I don't seem to change icons very often because I am so fussy about what icons I'll use. I don't like icons with text but I do have a few and I haaattteeee anything that has textures on they are they devils work and I hate even more that weirdly coloured, highly textured icons are trendy and they are hideous.

I'm pretty sure I had 115 on my old journal... last time I had a paid account I had 105 though. I know what you mean about overfiltered icons. I have a few crazy ones on my computer, but I saved them a long time ago, before I was internet cultured. I can barely look at them now, they're all oversaturated and bright as hell. I generally don't like text on an icon, but that's because most people do it horribly wrong. Then again, half of my icons have text on them, haha.

maybe you did, it is possible depending on if you had more than 3 months of paid time before they were introduced and your account type when they were introduced which was early 2006? it would be easy to figure out if you were on the same account (I've never moved, just had 7 different usernames) but it'll all be in the faq somewhere.

I just like bases really, and I don't like it when people mess with the colouring too much. they end up looking imbalanced (too red and so on) and it can spoil what would otherwise be a great icon. one thing I hate on icons is that damn red light blob thing idek why people use it, like they put it on character X's face. what is up with that?

I finally got the paid account. I thought my icons would stop being so dumb, but no. They're not. hahaha

Yeah, bases look better I think. A lot of times I see text on an icon and think, well, if they had a better font they'd be okay, but nobody likes good fonts apparently. So it's just safer to go without. I keep saying this although a lot of my icons have text... I don't know.

... Red blob. I don't know why people do it. It just doesn't look right. :(

I can appreciate good fonts, but most of the time icons just don't need any text. I am so fussy when it comes to getting new icons though, I spend spend like an hour looking and get 3 from it. Maybe people are over saturating them and over sharpening them and it's so bad. Plus I can never find icons for things I enjoy, just icons for the same old things.

the only reason I have so few fandom friends is because the majority of what makes up fandom doesn't interest me in the slightest. I don't care about fic and whatever and I only make icons for myself so essentially I am forcing myself to be excluded. woe~
