Our GROUP breaks even (And turns a small profit), but it's not from the fanart, it's from the crafty things we sell. Me and the other artist after supplies (We don't color on computer yet either so it's a hard hint, tho at least we don't use paints), prints, presentation...yeah we usually are losing. And even when we make a profit, it's nothing to write home about. I think the most we ever made was $100 profit, between us, which we worked all weekend for (I.e. we spent all our con at the table, doing commissions from 9 am to 2 am) which is like...IDK. Not a lot an hour XD

I think, even the artist who make large amount of monies, if you actually broke down the supplies, and work per hour would not be making tons.

Exactly. The people I know who do artist's alley stuff do it for the love of art and for the series, not as a way to make money. They rely on their original stuff to make the money, as they tend to charge more for that than for their fanart.

You should suggest to em...little things like necklaces and stickers etc, make us way more money then the art.

Shit, our buttons paidfor the button maker, the supplies and the table within the first day. Those things sell like CRAZY.

Yep, she's been doing really well selling them. The fanart is more for fun than anything else, I think.
