Re: How are you, FS?
(Anonymous) 2019-11-20 01:47 am (UTC)(link)My stinky coworker came up to me last Thursday and said that Saturday was his last day and he was going back to driving a truck for our company, he said that was what he really wanted to do and seemed pleased about it so I wished him well. Later on some other coworkers were talking (including the ones who complained to management about him/his smell) about it and one guy said can you imagine being stuck in the cab of a truck all day, every day, with stinky coworker (company policy states that there has to be 2 people in each truck). My manager said it wasn't going to be a problem because he was going to be put with Patterson. Patterson is a Gulf War veteran who lost his sense of smell in the war.
That's right.
So it all worked out for literally everyone, or at least it seems to have, knock on wood. Anyway. Just thought I'd update you all because it's a pretty good story, lol.

(Anonymous) 2019-11-20 02:00 am (UTC)(link)The only thing is, I worry that this Patterson guy is going to start to smell just from how much time he's spending in an enclosed space with stinky guy, but he won't know it because he can't smell anything. I guess as long as Patterson's own hygiene is good, he'll be washing the smell off pretty frequently. I just wish someone could warn him to make sure he lathers up on the regular because he might start to smell by proxy. Maybe Patterson has an SI who will let him know if it becomes an issue?

(Anonymous) 2019-11-20 02:19 am (UTC)(link)I know what you mean and I believe that management said something to stinky coworker about his smell and clothes because both improved drastically the last couple of days that he was there. I'm hoping he can keep up the good work, because my concern for Patterson was the same as yours.
