I just discovered this show via Amazon prime and found the first ep to be cheesy/campy but fun - OP, if you’re around, what makes the 2nd season so bad?

So many things: killing off Paul and Bergman without mentioning what happened. Losing the awesome uniforms, Main Mission, intro song. Moving away from the somber, philosophical tone.
