Re: Terry Pratchett's The Watch (or weird fanfiction really)

At this point, I can honestly say that I have no remote idea what this show is doing, and I'm nearly willing to roll with it just to see? They're clearly throwing every Watch book in a blender and cherry picking out the bits that look interesting. Cheery and Angua and Wonse and Carcer and Keel all in the same time period. I wonder if that's the reason for Sybil's changes, if they're merging her a little bit with the likes of Night Watch era Rosemary Palm and Sandra Battye? I might actually roll with it to see. It does look like they're taking Night Watch for tone, if probably not plot, and adding any other elements that look interesting. I have no idea what's going to come out, but at the very least it looks interesting.

Yeah, genderflipping Vetnari and Dibbler - DIBBLER, for god's sake - is weird enough that I have to admit I want to see where they're going

It's actually Wonse that knocked me completely off track. Not the genderflipping, but the sheer fact that we have Wonse and Carcer in the same cast list and possibly in the same time period? Are they going to do the dragon? And also Carcer? Tonally, Guards Guards and Night Watch are such extremely different animals. Are they going to do a progression through time, or throw them all into the same time period? We've got Wonse, Cruces, Cheery, Carcer, Keel. And an Archchancellor, though it doesn't say which Archchancellor. Ridcully? So we've definitely got full magic. The dragon is a possibility. Also time travel.

I have no idea which way is up anymore, and I'm honestly curious now.
