It's almost never advertised in my country and doctors don't push it on you. I don't know anyone who bothers with it. Lozenges for a sore throat and a paracetamol maybe.

I've only taken it once and it was a friend from another country who gave it to me. It was an incredibly gross experience. It didn't make me feel better, but I did feel like my body was floating which just made me want to be dead. Never again.

When I take the stuff for daytime, I makes the symptoms basically go away so i can function. The night-time one puts me out like a light, which is good.

I'd go for lozenges and paracetamol, but it's not even offered! It's like - oh, your throat is raw and you keep sneezing? Here, we'll watch bad rom-coms on Netflix, that'll fix you up! Gah.

Where I live, cold medicine is advertised but doctors and professionals tend to really discourage people from taking it, especially all those combined preparations that supposedly help against all symptoms because they are not great, health wise.
