Good news thread!

I'll start: Someone very high up in the administration at my job felt bad for me having to walk to work and they're going to make sure I'm able to get my bike to the shop. Also my friend is buying me new tires just as a gift. So I should be riding to work again in not too long. Yay!

I just had a three-hour phone conversation with an old friend and it was really awesome, and it was so great to reconnect with her after quite a long time.

Just so happy that she called! :D

Well, surgery was successful, even if I'm in a lot of pain right now. Doc said he did what he needed to do. Also, I've now got Tylenol 3, so pain is less (and I'm out of it enough to ignore the rest).

Next week is Thanksgiving, which is a big holiday for my family. My mom and sister will cook and it will be delicious. And everyone knows not to expect me to be too social.

So, this isn't brand new news (a few weeks old) - but I am PSYCHED and wanted to share!

I have recently written a Good Omens fic which I consider to be my best ever writing across any fandom, and it's been received really well. Like, REALLY well.

Like, translated into three other languages and being adapted into a graphic novel format by an amazing fandom artist, really well <3 <3 <3

I am so thrilled and happy and moved and just... SO VERY HAPPY :)

It's um... also got more comments than any other Good Omens fic, TV or book fandom :)

Not that I'm AT ALL opposed to receiving more. ;) LOL I respond to all of them, and love discussing the story. :)
