What's baffling is that that's what you took from it. I'm generally sad when a person dies, but in the context of stories, it's fine to also be sad when you realize there's a good possibility you aren't going to get a proper ending to a series you've been following for the last decade or so.

But don't let that explanation get in the way of you filling your keyboard hero quota for the day.
