Mistborn

Has anyone read the Mistborn books by Sanderson? I've got both the ebooks and the audiobooks and am considering giving the series a try. Feel like starting some new fantasy while I'm stuck in bed. But I want to know if it is any good. The summary sounds interesting.

Sanderson is a competent, charming, clean writer. I don't care a fig for him, personally, but most people seem to like his stuff a lot so it's worth a try.
