There’s at least a couple of people who post here for whom rape is a turn on. I kind of hope they’re turned on by imagining themselves as victims rather than perpetrators, as depressing as that is, because the alternative creeps me the fuck out even more, even though fiction=/=reality etc etc.

Oh is that you again?

Which one? There’s also several FS posters who are creeped out that people find fantasizing about being rapists hot.

I doubt most of the people fantasizing about rape as either victim or perpetrator are actual rapists, or even bad people. I know there are people who find my fictional kinks/problematic faves disgusting or maybe even horrifying. As long as you’re not actually raping people, I’m just skeeved out by your kink, the same way I am by, I dunno, people who dream of being fucked by a giant spider or smearing their sex partner with shit. It’s not a moral judgement, and even if it was, I have zero actual power/inclination to make your (fictional and/or consensual) kinks illegal.

There's nothing wrong with rape fantasies, which is what you're referring to...not actual rape. The people you're referring to understand there's a difference between fiction and reality. You'd do well to figure it out, assuming you're not simply a dull, repetitive troll.

AYRT—I know there’s a difference between fiction and reality, which is why I’m just grossed out and not campaigning to make rape fics/art/etc illegal, or referring noncon fics to a sex crimes unit, or burning piles of harlequin bodice rippers. I’m also grossed out by vore and scat and yet somehow when I say that no one complains about the morality police ruining their fun.

Very much seconding this entire comment. It's so funny to me how angry people get that anyone has the gall to be creeped out by their interests. Like yes, people are going to have opinions. They're not persecuting you, they just have opinions; get over it.

And frankly, if someone fantasizes about raping, I don't want to be around that person. That's...honestly a pretty normal response to finding out someone fantasizes about raping. People who read rape fantasies and imagine themselves as the victim, or don't imagine themselves as either character and just get off on the scenario...well, I don't get it at all, but I also just kind of shrug at it. But if you specifically like to imagine yourself raping people...yeah, I don't care how much you insist you only like the fantasy of it and would never enjoy it in reality. Maybe that's true, but I'd rather just hang with people who don't have that fantasy.
