Re: Secrets you WANT to be made
(Anonymous) 2019-12-03 01:06 am (UTC)(link)But I knew that "trap" referred to a cis guy who appears female, and that "queen" was sometimes used to describe a flamboyant or effeminate gay man, but also to describe a woman one regards as flawless. So whenever I would see a reference to the song Trap Queen, my mind would automatically imagine the song was about drug dealing boyfriends who are really committed to each other -- one of whom looks, dresses, and generally passes for an attractive woman. And maybe Fetty's boyfriend is really good with customers and uses his feminine appeal to their advantage sometimes, and everybody knows them as this rock solid team who always deal the best shit. And in their down time they drive around and buy luxury feminine clothes and jewelry and stuff for Fetty's boyfriend to wear, and they both love it.
I knew there was no way Trap Queen was actually about any of this, but that's what I imagined every single time somebody mentioned it.
