107. Way to miss the entire point of the series. :| It wasn't a commentary on how obsessed people are with their computers or how people don't seek real relationships (because, if you don't recall, Chii does have feelings, lol; that's why it is fiction, because even if she is a man-made android, she's special in being able to feel emotions); it was supposed to be touching in showing that maybe love goes deeper than sex and HERRO HERE, the guy gave up sex because he wanted to be with her, not for the ease of a relationship. :| It's more about finding your soulmate, no matter who or what they are, (why it emphasizes 'special persons') than anything.

not... quite? It's stated throughout that Chii is different because she can feel things and learn things, and isn't run by any one program. :|

Yeah, I have too. :/ It might be a horrible mistranslation or differences in manga/anime, since I've never seen the anime. idkk. maybe that's it?

No, in the end of the manga, it was said outright by Freya that Chii was no different than a robot with an advanced AI. The feelings aren't "real" in a sense they're data collected from a very flexible AI program.

I guess I might've been wrong in that (sucks to be me, sdjf, insert foot in mouth), but either way, the theme of the manga wasn't meant to be something like TOO MUCH COMPUTER, and that's my main argument. lol, i should reread before i say something.

I don't know, the little story-within-a-story called... something like 'The City Without Any People' where the bunny-thing is walking through the empty city and commenting on how alone they are because everyone is with 'them'? >_>;; It seemed pretty hard on the 'obsessive people' thing. And I seem to remember one of the characters was a woman who gave up a relationship with some dude because she wanted to be with her persocom.

It's been a long time since I've read it, so I don't really remember the details, but... :/

I'm sorry but did you write Chobits? You can't exactly say what the entire point of the series was no more than I can. But my point is that everyone thinks it's TRU LUV FOREVERZ and I'm just digusted.
