I was mostly just relieved that he was OK and a little confused because I hadn't done a lot of planning for the part after birth.

I feel like this is the part that everyone seems to overlook because that's exactly how my friend said she felt after she had her daughter too. It was like, okay, the whole pregnancy and birth part is over... NOW WHAT THE HELL DO I DO? Because the majority of the planning part was focused on getting ready for the baby, and then the baby was THERE and she realized that she hadn't put nearly as much thought into that part of it.
