Is this The Crown? NGL, it was quite the shocker for me how they dealt with Edward's story during the first season... Maybe they swept it under the rug after getting backlash?

They actually devoted a whole episode to Edward's nazi mishegas in season 2. It ended in a pretty amazing scene of Elizabeth bawling Edward out for what he did and throwing him out of the country for the rest of the series.
