Dress how you want! People may try to hit on you, but you have no obligation to go along with it, dressing well isn't necessarily a sign of singlehood. I get your hesitation, but I'd wager you'll get compliments more than anything. If it makes you feel good, there's no reason not to.
I used to wear what some might call fancy dress (not extravagant mind you) every time I went out. It was basically my casual wear because I liked wearing it. I got asked every so often what my plans were for that night were, or if it was some sort of occasion, and most of the time it just went over my head because I didn't associate my everyday clothing as anything but that. No one got offended, and I was never really harassed by it either.
You might as well try it out, you can always go back to your current clothing if you want!
