Same. I had moments of liking Fiona, but mostly i just did *not*. I'm really liking Debbie a lot now, more than I did before, and Carl and Liam, too (now that Liam isn't just standing around not saying anything).

I have been 'over' Frank since about the third ep. Lip's fun, Vee and Kevin are fun, I wish they'd bring back Mandy and Svetlana and Mickey. Ian got kinda...weird, toward the last (of the last season I saw).

Fiona's not on the show anymore? I definitely still see her in promotional materials, lol. They're probably sliding by using Emmy Rossum to advertise for the show as long as they can tho.

I gave up on the show years ago, too much (self)destruction for my taste but man, even that was like 3 years after they should've gotten rid of Frank.

As someone who watched and loved the first three season (and LOVED Fiona for those three seasons) but hasn't watched past there, I doubt I'd keep watching the show without her. But then, I doubt I'll ever watch all however many seasons of Shameless anyway. It's the kind of show I can't bear to watch get stale.

The characters have been stuck in the same ruts for years now. That may be true to life, but it doesn't make for entertaining tv imo. You're not missing much.

Yeah, that was kind of why I quite. I really, really loved the show and thought it was tremendously good, but I also got the feeling that there would come a time where I became tired and disappointed with watching the characters circle and circle the shitty track of their lives without managing to develop towards something better.

It's tough because, on the one hand, if the Gallagher family had managed to make any substantial change towards greater emotional and financial stability, I'm not sure there would've been a show anymore (plus it might not have felt realistic). But if they don't make any real progress, the story just gets too frustrating and depressing and disillusioning to be enjoyable. So it seems like a bit of a rock-and-a-hard-place situation for the writers.

Totally agree! I never really liked her and do not miss her AT ALL. IMO, this season so far is better than the show's been in several seasons.

Have not seen the new season show but i agree she was so toxic and everything she did just put me off with ian and the apartment and with liam it was alot i am excited to see the show now (i love emmy but not as Fiona
