Ayrt
Idk, to me, someone saying "I like this fandom space better because in that other fandom space, there is this thing that I don't like" does imply that the fandom space they prefer doesn't have the thing they dislike.

Huh? No, it doesn't. If I hate anchovies and pineapple as pizza toppings, then a pizza that has pepperoni and pineapple could be called "better" than a pizza that has pepperoni, pineapple AND anchovies.

Better is relative, people.

If you say that you like Mary's pizza better than Bob's, because Bob puts anchovies and pineapple on his, that implies one of two things. Either Mary puts better toppings on her pizza, or you are an NPC in a role-playing game and solving your pizza riddle speak is integral to our quest.

You are so weirdly invested in this. But still, sticking with you pizza analogy, it's more like "after I tried this pizza at this one restaurant, I found out there still are restaurants that regularly put anchovies on their pizza. I thought nobody does that anymore because all the other pizzas I've had at this other place didn't have anchovies. So I like this pizza at the place without anchovies on the menu better."

Huh. I think that's the first time I've ever seen someone use the 'No Homers' gambit in real life.

Seconding this.
