Not really. Being short is a disadvantage for male actors, especially if they want to play action leads.

There are lots of guys taller than Tom Cruise who aren't big Hollywood stars. This doesn't mean being short isn't a disadvantage.

I work in the industry, and yes, being short is a significant impediment to getting roles. It doesn't mean you can't succeed despite your stature, but it definitely ups the difficulty factor, and not just by a little.

THANK YOU. I thought it was pretty common knowledge that when it comes to casting Hollywood male leads, they're generally looking for tall guys. The people in this thread acting like height isn't a significant factor for male actors in Hollywood really confused me.
