I don't really use Tumblr or Facebook for fandom (mostly just random forums) but I'm definitely surprised that that kind of thing still exists.

My main fandom at the moment has a popular slash ship, and there's a certain part of the fandom who like to whine about "why can't two guys just be friends?!" (like two guys being friends is something that doesn't exist and it's just all gay dudes everywhere or something) and threaten to stop watching if the show goes there (but they're ~totally not homophobic at all!~ and there are even some who are all "I'm gay/bi but I don't want to watch a show with gay characters!" like...yeah, that's totally believable *eye roll*).

I'd honestly thought it wasn't really a thing anymore (or at least not to the extent that it is) so it's been really frustrating and annoying.
